Plan Your Perfect Kennebunkport Brewery Tour

There’s something for every beer lover in Kennebunkport. Whether you’re searching for the best ales, tasty pub food, or a stunning backdrop, our coast doesn’t disappoint. Visit them all or spend the night cutting loose at your favorite.

Sebago Brewing Company: The Best Brewhouse Eats

A sister tasting room of the Portland native, Sebago Brewing Company in Kennebunk boasts a nautical taproom with some of the best pub food in town. Locals love Sebago because of its weekly trivia nights and New England roots — we love it because it has the best pairings. Here are a couple of suggestions to get your right arm off to a good start.

Brewhouse Burger with Avocado and Sweet Potato Fries + Runabout Red

You can’t visit the brewhouse without ordering their signature burger. Like all of Sebago’s burgers, the brewhouse burger is crafted with a half pound of Certified Angus Beef. In between the ciabatta buns are crispy bacon, local cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Add on a few slices of avocado for a summer feel. Order the sweet potato fries on the side and pair it with the malty, yet slightly hoppy, Runabout Red. Sebago is the perfect place to kick back with your group.

Shrimp and Soba Bowl + Whistle Punk Dipa

The shrimp and soba bowl is perfect for tapa lovers. Sip on a bowl of light soba noodles in a Thai coconut lemongrass broth. Top that off with fresh shrimp, spinach, onions, and mushrooms and it makes for the perfect meal to satisfy your light-dish itch. Pair your noodle soup with juicy, hop-punching Whistle Punk Dipa. This one is Sebago’s highest alcohol content beer so sip it slow or split it in a tasting.

Federal Jack’s: The Best Views

Federal Jack’s in the heart of Kennebunkport is the town’s go-to brewhouse. To be fair, the pub offers not only the best views, but it also provides some great grub and beer. It’s the only spot that serves up tastings of our town’s very own ales from Kennebunkport Brewing Company. The sun-basked taproom provides endless harbor views, and the wood-paneled interior gives the 27-year-old brewery unparalleled authenticity.

The restaurant itself was built in a historic Kennebunkport district. In its 19th century peak, the area served as a shipyard and specialized in building the best schooners on the East Coast. One of the most notable ships built in the yard was the Federal Jack. The brewhouse now stands to pay homage to the town’s dedicated laborers.

Local tip: Be sure to check out their retail shop on the first floor for some fun clothing, gifts, and souvenirs to commemorate your visit to Kennebunkport!

Batson River Tasting Room: The Best Bar

Batson River Tasting Room is one of the trendiest spots in Kennebunkport. Plan to stay awhile at this tasting room. The brewery doubles as a distillery so you’ll want to try it all. Their classic old fashioned will impress even the snobbiest whiskey drinkers and their microbrews will leave you wanting to try more. The brewery boasts a rooftop area, comfortable couches, an expansive bar, several intimate table settings, standing shuffleboard, and a welcoming fire pit. This is one you don’t want to miss.
