Whether you are a sunbather, a beachcomber, a castle builder, a sunset watcher, or a surf chaser, allow us to point you in the right direction. While you visit The Inn at English Meadows in Kennebunk, we help to make your day at the beach easy. With chairs, umbrellas, towels, a tote, and even a complimentary beach pass!  All you have to bring is a good read and your favorite suit! We even offer picnic lunches packed fresh and included when you book a beach package. Look no further, here is our rundown of the best beaches to visit this summer.

Mother’s Beach

This is the spot if you are visiting with kids, the name says it all.  With a great big playground that overlooks a wide beach with tidal pools and rocks to explore with your little ones. There is plenty of sand to set up camp and soak up the sun. Play in the surf here without a worry, there are lifeguards on duty and facilities.  Dogs are also welcome at this sandy spot!

Middle Beach

Middle Beach

This beach is rocky and relaxing. Perfect for the beachcomber. It’s a great place to listen to the waves roll in and out and watch the sunset. Situated between Mothers and Gooch’s its a beautiful spot.

Gooch's Beach

Gooch’s Beach

This one is for you surf fans! Year round this is the spot to catch the best waves in Kennebunk. There are also lifeguards on duty during the summer months.  It's important to check out the tide charts before you visit because during high tide the swells reach the tide wall.

To hit all three in one day is easy because this string of beaches are all connected by a sidewalk running along Beach Ave.  Scenic 1.5 mile walk, three miles round trip.

Parsons Beach

Parsons Beach

Probably our favorite of all, this secluded spot has a limited 25 parking spots.  Just muster up some parking karma and you’ll get a spot for sure! It's worth the possible wait. Parsons has a magical untouched estuary and is accessed by a narrow path between a thick bramble of beach roses, that opens up to a short beach with gorgeous views at high tide. The water to the left is coming from the tidal marsh and the beach to the right has large waves.  At low tide the beach becomes expansive and speckled with rocks and tidal pools. All around this beach is peaceful and never crowded.  Stroll here at sunset for an unbelievable view.
