The Mayfair is
on the second floor of our Kennebunkport
Inn's
main house and occupies the five-window "turret".
This is the brightest room in the Inn as the morning sunlight
floods
the room and is a wonderful place to have a morning coffee
and read the paper.

Originally the master bedroom of the English family in the
1860’s, it is one of the most popular rooms in our
Maine bed and breakfast. It has many interesting architectural
details including an arched doorway, a serpentine wall,
and six double hung windows all with 19th century glass.
Traditional floral wallpaper in soft blue tones, Aubusson
carpet, mahogany furniture and a pair of matched wing chairs
make for a large and comfortable room and reflect the historic,
Victorian ambiance of the B&B. The “four poster” queen
bed is dressed with designer bed linens, a down duvet and
a featherbed. A large oil painting over the bed creates
a dramatic point of interest. The bathroom includes a full
tub and shower. |
